本仪器是根据石油产品试验方法行业标准GB/T510、SH/T0248《石油产品凝点、冷滤点测定法》的要求，而设计制造的专用测试仪器，符合国家标准的各项规定，适用于测定石油产品的凝点和冷滤点。

润滑油及深色石油产品在试验条件下冷却到液面不移动时的温度，称为凝点。

本仪器采用台式一体结构——维护保养方便，采用压缩机制冷——降温速度快、节约能源，采用数显温度测控系统和电动定时系统——操作、观察方便，采用Pt100铂电阻传感器——反应灵敏，电控系统自动控制恒温性能可靠。
