Proportional valve solenoids are current

regulated by varying the command
voltage into the amplifier. The greater
the current to the solenoid coil, the

displacement (travel) and oil flow

spool displacement or valve opening
rate will increase or decrease resulting
in acceleration or deceleration control of
the hydraulic actuator and its working
load.
