本仪器是根据石油和石油产品试验方法国家标准GB／T 1884《原油和液体石油产品密度实验室测定法（密度计法）》并参照国际标准ISO 3675《原油和液体石油产品密度实验室测定法（密度计法）》等标准的要求，而设计制造专用测试仪器。适用测定原油、液体石油产品的视在密度。
